Supervision Groups at Long Valley Therapy
Group supervision offers a supportive space where you are able to reflect on your work in the company of other professionals. It is facilitator-led, yet the true learning comes from the other members, all of whom will have their own, unique way of understanding and engaging with the therapeutic process. The groups below are suitable for people training to or qualified in work with individual clients.
Available Groups: Fees & Group Size
Clinical Group: a confidential space to present client work and receive support from peers.

Monthly for 1.5 hours

Please note: Acceptance into a group will be subject to interview & evidence of PSA registration.
In group supervision, you will be sharing the space with other therapy professionals and each professional body will have its own system for deciding how many hours you (as an individual) can claim towards your supervision requirements.
Typically, it looks something like this: In a group of 4 or fewer supervisees, each member can claim 50% of the supervision hours, in groups of 5 or more, the number of attendance hours is divided equally between the supervisees. (This example is representative of NCS & BACP requirements – Jan of 2021)
Important: It is the responsibility of each supervisee to ensure that they meet the supervision requirements of their membership body.
It can be acceptable (and not uncommon) for therapists to attend group supervision in addition to 1:1 work with another supervisor. In these cases, it is strongly advised that you discuss your intentions with your current supervisor and explore ways in which the group work can enhance (rather than undermine) your original supervisory commitments.
