As a therapist with a deep commitment to connecting with people and supporting them through life’s challenges, I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can safely reflect on your thoughts, emotions and experiences.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice (graduating with distinction) and completed clinical supervision training in 2016. Alongside my therapy work, I teach at Long Valley Therapy Training, a Kent-based training provider supporting the next generation of therapists as they work towards their qualifying diploma.

How I work

My work is shaped by existential ideas and I believe therapy is not about fixing people, but about creating space to explore what it means to live well, whatever that might mean for you. I recognise that there are many ways of experiencing, sensing, processing and understanding the world; my aim is to work with your way of being, rather than imposing a single standard of what is considered ‘normal’ or ‘healthy’.

While my approach is grounded in existential ideas, my integrative training allows me to draw on other frameworks to support our work together. This can offer different ways of thinking about your experiences, but they are used not as fixed explanations, rather as starting points for curiosity and insight.

I am also a qualified group facilitator and run a number of different therapy groups within my local community.

Whether you are seeking individual therapy, clinical supervision or looking to join a group, my work will be underpinned by the following assumptions:

  • There are always possibilities we have not yet considered
  • Our past influences us, but it does not define us; growth is always possible
  • There is no perfect way to live and finding what works for us is a process of trial and error
  • We each have the capacity to live a rich and meaningful life
  • Engaging with our existence and taking responsibility for our choices is anxiety provoking experience, but a necessary one
  • Things happen that we have no control over, that are not our fault but do not define us
  • We share the world with others and meaningful connection to people, nature and the world around us is essential
  • Diversity is a natural and essential part of life and ‘normal’ is a socially constructed myth

My style is typically non-directive and open ended, embracing the complexities of life without imposing rigid structure. I aim to support you in exploring the unchangeable, recognising new possibilities, and finding a way forward that feels authentic and sustainable for you. I believe we are all navigating an inherently complex existence as best we can, but that does not mean we have to do it alone.
